WHAT IS TAIAN TABLE AND WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Taian Table is an intimate dining venue offering a multi-course tasting menu. An evening at Taian Table is much like attending a private dinner party at a friend’s home – that is, if your friend happened to be a fine-dining chef!

Like most dinner parties, the kitchen takes center stage, being where the action happens. Diners are seated around the open kitchen like spectators in the arena and are encouraged to interact with chefs and staff as they personally introduce each dish to guests. Be it the chef founder, chef de cuisine or sommelier, guests are welcome to ask about the dishes, wine pairing, and the story behind Taian Table.

The kitchen counter seats up to 18 guests. Additionally, we have two booths that seat two guests each.

WHERE IS TAIAN TABLE LOCATED?

Our restaurant is located inside the Garden Hotel. We are on the second-floor mezzanine level on the right side after you enter the hotel lobby. The easiest access is over the staircase on the right side of the lobby.

The restaurant location is opposite of the ‘Lai Wan Market’ Cantonese Restaurant.

WHAT ARE THE OPENING DAYS AND HOURS?

We are open from Tuesday to Saturday for dinner only. The first booking is at 5.30pm and the last booking is at 8:30 pm. The dinner will take 2 to 3 hours.

Dining at Taian Table is a culinary experience. We prefer not to rush our guests.

HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?

We accept individual reservations via our online booking system on our website and on our WeChat account. Alternatively, you could call us at +86 185 6523 8265 to book your seats.

Our booking system allows guests to book a maximum of 90 days ahead of time. If you want to make a booking ahead of the 90 days, please sent us an email or call us.

With your booking, we request a deposit of RMB 1,000 per guest in order to secure and confirm your seats. The deposit will be balanced on the day of your dinner with the final bill.

CAN I CANCEL OR MODIFY MY CONFIRMED BOOKING?

You can cancel your booking at least 48 hours prior to your booking with no charge. In these cases, we can either refund your deposit or, alternatively, reschedule your booking or provide a digital voucher for a future dinner. Refunding the booking deposit might take up to 10 working days to process.

If you cancel within 48 hours before your booking, we will do our best to sell the seats to other guests. If we manage to sell your seats successfully, we offer to reschedule your booking or provide a digital voucher for a future dinner.

If you cancel within 24 hours before the booking, your deposit will not be refunded.

Kindly note that due to the limited number of seats available at Taian Table, any modification requests are subject to seat availability. Requests to reduce the number of seats in a booking will be handled as a cancellation of seats.

Please understand that we have taken great consideration in our booking and cancellation policy. We source fresh produce and ingredients daily based on the number of bookings to reduce wastage and balance cost.

DO YOU ALLOW WALK-IN GUESTS?

Don’t hesitate to call us for same-day bookings (+86 185 6523 8265).

We might be full. But we might have some space due to last-minute cancellations. We will do our best to arrange seats for you if possible.

HOW WILL I BE SEATED AT TAIAN TABLE?

We prioritize our seating for guests at our kitchen counter for an interactive experience. We have two L-shaped counters, each side accommodating 9 guests. We will seat the guests in the order of their reservation time at the counter.

Additionally, we have two booth tables with two seats each.

WHAT’S THE MENU AT TAIAN TABLE?

We serve a degustation-style menu. The menu is seasonal and will be updated and changed every 2 months.

Each guest will start with an 8-course degustation menu, which is fixed and mandatory.

Additionally, guests can choose to add dishes from our selection of signature and seasonal dishes, to customize their Taian Table experience according to taste, diet and personal preference.

The final price of the menu will depend on the selection of dishes to add on.

The menu posted on our website is for reference only and may change due to seasonality and availability.

WHAT’S THE STYLE OF THE CUISINE?

Our tasting menu is created in a modern style with the best local and imported ingredients available in Guangdong and around China. We serve fresh Seafood, Fish, Meat, Vegetable dishes and desserts. The style of cooking is predominantly Western Fine-Dining. However, dishes can have also a distinctive Asian touch.

Due to seasonality and product availability, the online version of the menu is for reference only. Our chefs may need to change dishes last minute in order to serve the best available products.

Some dishes might contain raw fish, seafood or meat.

WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR THE DINNER?

Generally, our tasting menu is priced at ¥1,958 and ¥2,288 for 10 and 12 courses respectively. The menu price might change according to season and products used.

Additionally, some dishes in our “Classics” and “Specials” collections require a supplement. The final price of your meal will depend on the dishes you add.

Due to the limited number of seats, all guests are required to confirm their bookings by paying a deposit of RMB 1,000 per person. Deposit payment methods include WeChat Pay and Alipay. The balance will be settled after your dinner at the restaurant. Cash, WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay and International Credit Cards are accepted.

DO YOU ADD A SERVICE CHARGE OR VAT ON TOP OF THE BILL?

Due to our location and partnership with the Garden Hotel a 10% Service Charge is added to the final bill.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE FOOD ALLERGIES?

We can accommodate some, but not all, allergies. Please email us (info_gz@taian-table.cn) at least 48 hours prior to your reservation with your specific allergies and dietary restrictions, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

When possible, we will substitute the relevant dish with a different dish that is safe for you to consume. Regrettably, in some cases, we are unable to modify the menu for allergies or dietary restrictions due to the severe risk in modifying a dish that may have an allergic component.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE VEGETARIANS?

Yes, we can accommodate vegetarians with a customized 8-course selection. Please request vegetarian menus with your booking. Last-minute requests for vegetarian menus won’t be accepted. We cannot accommodate vegans at this time.

DO YOU ALLOW GUESTS TO BRING THEIR OWN WINE?

We allow bringing a maximum of one bottle per party. Taian Table will charge a fee of RMB 500 per bottle for the handling, glassware and related service. Guests who order a decent bottle from our wine list are entitled to bring one bottle without any charge.

DO YOU MAKE BIRTHDAY CAKES?

Please email or call us with any requests for special occasions. We will do our best to make arrangements according to your requests.

CAN YOU ISSUE A ‘FAPIAO’ FOR THE DINNER?

Yes, we are able to provide an e-fapiao. You can receive the e-fapiao for the dinner bill via a provided QR code.

WE WOULD LIKE OUR CHILDREN TO JOIN THE DINNER, IS IT POSSIBLE?

Our dining experience is recommended for guests aged 12 years old and above. However, we are not able to serve a kid-friendly menu and the high bar chairs at the bar counter may not be suitable for smaller children.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS AT THE DINING TABLE?

Yes. While we do allow guests to take photographs, we DO NOT allow flash photography so as to preserve the intimacy of the space for all of our guests.

WHERE DO I PARK MY CAR?

The hotel car park is available free of charge for our guests.
